Knaphill Clinic
Job Description
From January 2009 we require a second Veterinary Surgeon for our thriving two vet small animal clinic in Knaphill. Close to London and the beautiful Surrey Hills, this position is supported by a team of qualified nurses and receptionists.
- No out of hours
- Good quality of life
- Competitive salary package and CPD allowance
Take Charge of your own career
You won’t be thrown in the deep end! We have a comprehensive induction programme which covers everything you need to know about the job, organisation, and clinic guidelines. You will also be given your own copy of our Employee Handbook which explains our policies, procedures, benefits and codes of conduct in more detail so your introduction into the Company will be a smooth and enjoyable one.
You will be allocated a proactive Area Manager who will make regular visits to your clinic to discuss any ideas you, or your colleagues may have. Your Area Manager will assist you in your leadership role ensuring that a happy and productive team environment creates a successful clinic. Supported by a team of experienced nurses and receptionists, you will be assigned a “buddy” to assist you through your first few weeks. You can also count on the support of our friendly Marketing, IT and Personnel Departments.
Our appraisal system is a positive opportunity to give and receive feedback, to ensure you feel valued in your role and to discuss all aspects of your clinic’s progression. We are keen to discuss opportunities to progress your career in the right direction. “Going that extra mile” will earn recognition and there are plenty of incentives on offer for the right person.
Technical Help Easily at Hand
If you want to discuss a case, we have excellent communication lines between all of our sites and for more advanced cases, our clinicians at Wey Referrals are on hand to give advice and guidance over the phone and have the most difficult cases referred to them.
We also have our own dedicated diagnostics centre – Greendale Veterinary Diagnostics. Again, our Greendale staff are happy to give advice and guidance, over the phone, or discuss a problematic case in more detail.

Just download our check list which summarises everything on offer. We challenge you to compare us to the competition! Note we have increased the CPD allowance to £1500 - not the £1175 on the check list.
I’ll Need to Relocate – What’s the Area Like?
All of our practices, except our three Cambridgeshire sites, are south of the M25 and all are near or within easy reach of beautiful coastlines or rolling countryside, giving all the scenic, historic, geographic and climatic benefits such a location brings.
Knaphill is within striking distance of the beautiful Surrey Hills and an easy commute to London. Many areas nearby are designated conservation areas, and areas of outstanding natural beauty. In contrast, the larger towns and cities (such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Newport, Guildford, Woking, Cambridge and Brighton) provide every modern amenity. There are plenty of old and modern attractions to suit all tastes.
So depending on the weather, your age or state of mind, there’s plenty to occupy you between surgeries. A quiet beer in a village pub; shopping or a night of clubbing in one of the vibrant towns; or a countryside walk – working at a Pet Doctors practice can expand more than just your working horizons.
Knaphill is very close to the vibrant town of Woking.
